Dr McKevitt

Dr Katrina McKevitt qualified first in her year from Queens University with a 1st class honours in 1994, following a year achieving a 1st class BSc in pathology in1993. She won the prestigious British Endodontic Society Award during her vocational training year.

Her early career was spent in hospital dentistry in both Dublin Dental Hospital and The School of Dentistry in Belfast. She has over 10 years experience in general practice and enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry with special interests in endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. From 2003 she has been working in the field of implant dentistry; she has completed the Certificate in implant dentistry from Warwick University, and is a member of the Association of Dental Implants. She had her third child in 2006 and returned to work to create Appletree Dental Care, which in its first year was a finalist in the Private Dentistry UK best new dental practice awards.

"I had a vision of creating a practice where patients could be confident they would receive the highest possible standards of dentistry. Lots of people hate the thought of going to the dentist, but at Appletree the atmosphere is relaxed and the whole team are thoroughly trained. The practice is spacious and modern and a delight for both patients and staff. At Appletree we provide you with a warm welcome, experienced staff and gentle dentistry. Most new patients are referred by our existing patients, and this gives us pride that the service we are delivering is passing the real tests of our patients."

Dr McEnhill

Dr Conor McEnhill qualified from Queen's University Belfast in 1993. After a year in general practice he returned to hospital in 1995 and spent three years across three oral and maxillo-facial surgery units in Northern Ireland and Wales. This period culminated in passing his Fellowship Examination in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999. This is the most prestigious post-graduate dental award and was to prove the springboard for his developing interest in dental implants. Further training was to take place in London's Harley Street setting of the Centre for Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry. This Clinic is run by Dr Ashok Sethi who is acknowledged to be the foremost authority in dental implants in the UK. This year-long course led to a further eighteen months on the Dental Implant Diploma Course at the Royal College of Surgeons of London. This course is considered to be the 'gold standard' in implant dentistry and was completed in 2006. Dr McEnhill has two practices in Dublin and Tyrone. These practices are by referral only and are limited to oral surgery and implant dentistry. He is a Fellow of the Edinburgh Royal College of Surgeons Dental Faculty and is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology.

Dr Redpath

Joanne qualified from Queens University Belfast in 2002. She has gained a wealth of experience throughout her career working in a variety of practices in Northern Ireland. She also spent time working as a Senior House Officer at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

She joined the Appletree team in 2011. Joanne first likes to find out what you would like from your dental care. After discussion of the options open to you she will provide a written estimate. She is happy to work at your own pace and finds working with nervous patients rewarding.
She loves her job of maintaining and improving smiles. She works closely with her dental lab to produce top quality crown and bridgework. Joanne hopes that you will experience a warm welcome and relaxed environment at Appletree dental care.
Joanne recently completed 54 hours of Verifiable Continuing Professional development at the Perfect Smile institute in Hertford, London. This course was an update on the latest techniques in the ever changing world of Cosmetic dentistry. Joanne enjoys keeping up to date and will also be attending further updates in Rotary Endodontics.

Zara

Appletree hygienist, Zara, treats patients who suffer from gum disease by whichevercourse of treatment is most suitable. Her main role within the practice is prevention of oral disease by education. She will educate you in the latest methods of plaque removal, in order to maintain a healthy mouth.

Zara first came to Appletree as a dental nurse, having achieved the highest marks in NI in the dental nursing certificate; she decided to push herself further. Zara returned to university to complete a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. In her first year she won the GSK Perpetual Trophy for best performance in the primary examination. Through her final year this high level of success continued as she won the Medical Imaging Award for highest marks in Radiography. She then finished her diploma by being award the very prestigious LM Hygienist Award for best Overall Student, having achieved distinction standard in every module.Kelly
Kelly Mc Ateer is joint practice manger and has been with us since the first day Appletree opened in 2006.
Knowledgeable, experienced and highly trained, Kelly will be able to guide you through your treatment options when you first approach the practice. On each visit she will make sure you know all the costs involved and complete Med 2 and insurance forms as needed.
Kelly is calm and super organised and as mum of four we call her our very own wonder woman!

Kelly

Kelly Mc Ateer is joint practice manger and has been with us since the first day Appletree opened in 2006.
Knowledgeable, experienced and highly trained, Kelly will be able to guide you through your treatment options when you first approach the practice. On each visit she will make sure you know all the costs involved and complete Med 2 and insurance forms as needed.

Mairead

Joint practice manager and head receptionist, Mairead O'Rourke, has a wealth of experience in dental practices from dental nursing to practice management. Between herself and Kelly they will ensure you have a positive experience at Appletree. Mairead will take the time to put you at ease and explain everything in advance so there are no surprises. Mum of a boy and baby girl, Mairead is due back from maternity leave soon.

Tara

Tara works as dental assistant and receptionist. She is our cross infection nurse and is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the rigorous cross infection protocols at Appletree. When you visit us you will see that every member of our team makes your comfort and safety the highest priory. Tara took a break to work in Australia in 2009 and returned with lots of tips on how dental practices work down under, many of which we have now implemented. Tara also has wedding bells planned for this year.

Leigh

Leigh works as receptionist and surgical nurse. She mostly works with Dr McEnhill and has rich experience of all aspects of implant dentistry, bone grafting and oral surgery. With a background in geriatric nursing she brings with her a very warm and sympathetic level of care. This is much appreciated by all our patients especially the anxious ones. To supplement this Leigh and Tara completed her dental sedation training with the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry in 2008. Leigh is looking forward to getting married soon.

Bernie

Bernie has many strings to her bow in dentistry as she trained for a time as a dental technician making dentures. She has also achieved a Diploma in Oral Health Education in 2010 so she is well placed to offer advice on how to keep your mouth at optimum health.
She mostly works with Dr McEnhill as dental assistant and has rich experience of all aspects of implant dentistry, bone grafting and oral surgery. We wish her well as baby number two is due soon.

Corina

Corina is surgery assistant to our hygienist and when you are having you hygiene appointments she will make sure that you are comfortable. Corina has a wealth of experience from other dental practices and her pleasant manner brightens every day. A fabulous singer, Corina is mum to a little girl who is just as glamorous as her mum!
